Dr. Tolman began working with Avalon Hills in 2005. She first worked as a Primary Therapist prior to becoming Director of Patient Services. She now serves in various roles in the company, including having administrative oversight over the Utilization Review team to help ensure patients are able to stay in treatment until they can maintain treatment gains at a lower level of care.
Jen earned undergraduate degrees in Psychology and Spanish from the University of Oregon. Her Masters of Science and PhD were completed at the University of Utah. Jen has expanded her repertoire to advocacy and consulting and bridges the gap between the clinical and business team in working with insurance companies. She is a valuable resource for many professionals in the field as they navigate treating eating disorders, with all their complexities. She often consults and trains on the use of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy in the treatment of eating disorders.
Outside the office, she is an avid Oregon Ducks football fan! When not cheering for her Ducks, you will find her spending time with family and friends. She enjoys fly fishing, wakeboarding, kayaking, hiking and gardening.
