Dr. Jen Tolman
Avalon Hills is delighted to announce we are now an In-Network Provider with Select Health. We know this exciting change will allow many local patients from Utah and Idaho to access additional residential treatment options.
Our philosophy of offering care suggests that each patient’s path to recovery should be as unique as she is. Utilizing a transtheoretical model of care, our team of psychiatrists, psychologists, physicians, nurse practitioners, social workers, registered dieticians, marriage and family therapists, nurses, neurofeedback technicians, and direct care staff work round the clock to provide each patient with a therapeutic tool set that will help carry her into life-long recovery.
Transtheoretical means our team utilizes the best components of a number of therapies to achieve the best possible outcomes. In addition to traditional talk therapies such as Transference Focused Psychotherapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT, 3rd wave cognitive therapy) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), our wellness model incorporates evidence-based mindfulness training and experiential activities that help patients find ways of connecting to something greater than themselves and more meaningful than their eating disorders.
