T’Nesha Cleveland’s Avalon Story
Recently I have had a horrific event happen to my family leaving me devastated and unable to function. I had to tell my boss what had happened and that i wasn't going to be able to work for a while. As i come into his office at 6:30pm pouring tears as i told him what had happened, He didn't ask me why i couldn't work or that i would lose my job for taking to much time. He just told me to let him know if there was anything they could do for me. His family bought my kids jammies and gave me a $50 gift card, even took me to lunch to let me know i was loved. In a normal cooperate setting if i took a week off of work without notice just for a family thing i would have been fired and not given a second look. the people i work with are amazing and very caring. What i love here is that staff is recognized as people not just names and numbers.
This event in my life left me emotionally paralyzed. All the love and support from my office made it easy to come back. I cried at my desk the first day and no one told me to stop or look at me funny. They knew i was hurting. Everyone just wanted to let me know that they loved me. I love them too!!
