Eating Disorder Treatment - Outpatient

Definition: Eating Disorder Treatment - Outpatient

Eating disorder treatment can take many forms, including independent programs for treating eating disorders like anorexia and bulimia, inpatient or residential eating disorder programs, or outpatient programs. Outpatient eating disorder treatment programs would include treatment that is provided without the patient being hosted overnight in a clinic, facility, or treatment center. For example, a patient might see a therapist at the therapist's office, but then leave immediately after the appointment.

Avalon Hill's eating disorder program is an inpatient or residential treatment program. Teen or adolescent girls and adult females are housed on-site and provided with all necessary amenities while participating in programs designed to assist in overcoming anorexia and bulimia.
