Company Culture

We are interested in hiring hard working individuals who prioritize the well being of our patients. We run a 24/7 program that revolves around structured programming. To maintain that structure, employees have to be flexible as patient needs change and we adapt to provide the best care possible. Employees who excel at Avalon Hills are equally invested in helping us treat our patients to outcome. This requires dedicated, hard working, and committed individuals who are effective at working with people.

Working with eating disorder patients requires employees who have compassion while maintaining professional boundaries. All employees of Avalon Hills are expected to be positive role models in every interaction with our patients. Working in a residential facility can be challenging when supporting patients who are working through personal emotional difficulties. Employees will be expected to cope with that challenge in a professional way.

At our residences there is a strong focus on food because that is one of the most obvious outward targets of the eating disorder. Employees are expected to role model a healthy relationship with food when dining with our patients. For some staff, Direct Care in particular, this means eating a wide range of foods and modeling intuitive eating.

Avalon Hills is an equal opportunity employer.
