Dr. Twohig is an assistant professor of clinical psychology at Utah State University in Logan Utah. He oversees a therapy research program at USU and is the director of research for Avalon Hills. The major focus of research at Avalon Hills is to monitor the effectiveness of the treatments we are providing, determine the mechanisms in the treatments that make them useful, and adjust treatments to make them as effective as possible. Notable findings improve the services at Avalon Hills and the treatment of eating disorders internationally. Dr. Twohig also serves as a consultant to the clinical staff at Avalon Hills regarding the use of acceptance and commitment therapy.
