LoRene Hernandez- Accounts Receivable-Billing
In 2009, LoRene joined Avalon Hills with over 23 years of experience in the Psychiatric Industry. LoRene brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to Avalon Hills. Much of Lorene’s experience comes from her past experience as an assessment counselor, communication supervisor, office manager for several outpatient practices, and coordinating the medical needs of a 196 bed RTC. Right before LoRene joined the Avalon Hills Team she worked directly as both an admissions coordinator and in Accounts Receivable of another Eating Disorder Treatment Center. She has a wealth of experience developing successful billing and collection systems for several practices in the State.
LoRene has greatly benefitted Avalon Hills. Almost immediately after she began, Avalon Hills noticed that not only was she successful at obtaining payments for our patients and their families but she also was creative in helping families to find ways to access their insurance benefits. LoRene is an advocate to families and is fervent about helping them to expand their knowledge and empowering them to get deserved treatment.
LoRene’s forte is helping to assure that clients are able to access insurance reimbursement for treatment. She also works hard in conjunction with our patients to find additional payment solutions to ensure financing is not a barrier to treatment. LoRene stays abreast of the ongoing changes in healthcare reform and is one of our most important advocates to families as they are accessing their health benefits.
LoRene enjoys spending time with her children and grandchildren. She also enjoys home decorating, working in her yard and traveling whenever she gets the chance.
