Megan Rasmussen — B.S. Psychology, Idaho State University 2004
Immediately following graduation from Idaho State University, Megan moved to Ketchikan, Alaska where she worked at a residential treatment facility for at risk youth with behavioral, mental, and emotional disturbances. She was able to gain experience in the residential field for a little over three years where she learned the importance of education for all walks of life. After moving away from Alaska, Megan continued to work with behaviorally challenged children, but moved on to the school and community setting. The time she spent in the schools solidified her understanding of the importance of education.
Megan is originally from Idaho and moved to Logan, UT in 2010. She stumbled across the opening for Education Coordinator at Avalon Hills and new it would be a perfect fit for her. She is an enthusiastic contribution to Avalon Hills and enjoys working with all the patients and their parents. Megan understands how difficult it can be for those in treatment to accomplish their academic goals while managing so many conflicting needs. She works hard with each patient, their parents and their home academic setting to ensure they can succeed in their academic goals.
Megan loves anything to do with the outdoors, including hiking, camping, fishing, and skiing…so Cache Valley is the perfect place for her! She is recently married and loves spending time with her husband and yellow lab, Scout.
