Katie Atha — Admissions Coordinator

Katie relocated from Southern Maryland to beautiful Cache Valley in 2003. Katie had been working in marketing and advertising for many years. In July of 2004 Katie became a member of the Avalon Hills Team as a direct care staff. Katie enjoyed the benefits and experience that direct care provided while gaining knowledge about the field of eating disorders and building relationships with the patients. Katie's role in direct care advanced from being an associate on graveyard/day shifts to supervisor, she then became the Direct Care Manager. Because Katie had extensive knowledge of the program, she advanced into the position of admissions coordinator in January of 2008. Katie enjoys helping individuals explore their options with treatment and is passionate about the animal assisted therapy component of the Avalon Hills Program.

Katie enjoys living in Cache Valley and loves to spend time with her family and close friends. Her interests include hiking, camping, rock climbing and water sports.
