Carrie Schmidt — Admissions Director, Corporate Office
B.S. - Utah State University
Carrie began working at Avalon Hills in September of 2003. She began working in Direct Care where she became passionate about advocating for patients and their families. Because of Carrie's knowledge of the Avalon Hills program she became the Admissions Director. Carrie travels to many locations and eating disorder conferences throughout the year in hopes of promoting Avalon Hills and learning more about treatment options for those she helps. Carrie works closely with the National Eating Disorders Association, International Association of Eating Disorders and the Academy for Eating Disorders to ensure the organizations membership and support. Carrie has also had unique opportunities to support Avalon Hills by making appearances on national television and working with other television programs to offer assistance for treatment.
As part of Carrie's future endeavors she feels it imperative to help support the mission of Avalon Hills Foundation and create awareness for the advocacy needed for those suffering from eating disorders.
Carrie enjoys spending time with her husband, dog and office cats. She loves living in Cache Valley and spending time camping, at Bear Lake, snowmobiling and enjoying the outdoors.
